Fujifilm has just released a compact camera with a beautiful design and elegant features. The compact camera is the FinePix Z900EXR, which comes with a resolution of 16.0 Megapixel newly developed from the previous series. FinePix Z900 comes with EXR CMOS image sensor, which can increase the resolution in the horizontal and vertical axis, and an array of color filters to enhance resolution green channel, plus the ability to increase the dynamic range.

As EXR chip contained in the previous series, the FinePix Z900 EXR can automatically select the best mode of the operating system that supports the best resolution, dynamic range, or noise ratio through the automated mode EXR. Z900 sensor has been coupled with a 5x optical zoom lens from Fujinon, which offers actual focal length ranging from 5.0 to 25.0mm, equivalent to 28 to 140mm on a 35mm camera. Unfortunately, there is no optical viewfinder on this model, all the interactions that occur can be viewed on the 3.5-inch LCD screen TouchPanel with 460,000 dot resolution, and featuring 100% frame coverage.
FinePix Z900EXR also offers ISO sensitivity from 100 to 3200, and can be scaled up to a maximum of ISO 6400, but with reduced resolution. In addition to JPEG images, the FinePix Z900EXR can record MOV H.264 compressed video with stereo audio. This feature can record video with the quality of Full HD resolution of 1080p, 720p, and VGA at 30 frames per second. Fujifilm FinePix Z900EXR can store data in 63MB of internal memory, or on Secure Digital cards, including SDHC types, as well as the latest generation SDXC. Connectivity includes USB 2.0 High Speed data, and high-definition HDMI video output. Power comes from a proprietary lithium-ion battery NP-45A, with a battery rating of 220 frames.
Fujifilm FinePix Z900EXR is available in matte black, red and blue. According to the plan will be available in the market around May 2011 for around $ 299.
