Tamron has released a mini-lens superzoom 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 II VC Di PZD, which is the first generation of the Tamron which uses Piezo Drive (PZD). Piezo Drive is a technology that menjanjkan autofocus faster and more quiet. In his new edition Tamron remove the motor with an ultrasonic wave system for SLR lenses, PZD (Piezo Drive) which makes AF more quickly and accurately. 18-270mm lens with the aperture F/3.5-6.3 PZD In Second VC (Model B008) Digital SLR ultra high, and has produced power-zoom for Canon, Nikon and Sony. This lens is expected to be best in class lens telephoto zoom.

The advantages of this lens is very easy to use and very portable with a long zoom offers users more flexible to take pictures in various situations. This lens also offers the highest coverage in class zoom lens with 15x zoom capability, the value added is a feature of the VC (Vibration Compensation) for image stability. Minimum focusing distance of 19.3 inches throughout the zoom range and 1:3.8 maximum magnifying ratio.

Tamron VC image-stabilization system that uses makanisme magnet, where the position of the magnet is very close to the VC optical lens elements that move. In the new VC unit, position the magnet is reversed and the VC optical lens element attached to the coil. The mechanism also uses the new VC-wheel mechanism moves with a light coil, the coil is also lighter which will reduce the load on the system drive. Thus, a new unit that is lighter on the VC contributes to the overall weight and size of the right lens light.

Ultrasonic motor is divided into two categories, depending on the principle that produces a larger replacement energy on the drive. However, this lens uses a new technology using the PZD (Piezo Drive). A wave of ultrasonic motors using high frequency voltage to extend and modify elements (Pieziceramic) piezoelectric, so move all elements of the movement of high waves. Wave ultrasonic motors have distinct advantages and becomes smaller than the lens telezoom in previous generations, and because it allows the lens to be thin.

Three-coil system in the Tamron VC VC is able to activate the whole system on an electromagnetic lens via three steel balls. VC lens elements to work through contact with the steel ball, achieving smooth movement with minimal friction. It makes a stable viewfinder with an excellent tracking performance that can eliminate the blur.
